Emily May co-founded NGO ‘Right to Be’ in 2005 when she was just 24 years old. It focuses on fighting against street harassment and aims to create a world where everyone has the right to feel safe and confident. They initially collected stories of harassment, but over time, they decided to design a Bystander Intervention program. Emily has a Master’s Degree in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and has won over ten awards for her work including the TED City 2.0 Prize. She was featured in more than 200 news media outlets, including The People, the New York Times, and NPR.
